Nano Filtration (NF) is a semi-permeable membrane process that serves as a bridge between reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF), offering selective permeability to specific ions and molecules. It effectively removes divalent and larger ions, organic compounds, and pathogens while allowing monovalent salts such as sodium and chloride to pass through. This selective separation makes NF a highly efficient solution for softening hard water, reducing chemical oxygen demand (COD), and separating dyes and colorants in industrial applications.
